Miss Madi
Madison Minniti – Instructor
Madi’s whole life has consisted of dance ever since she started dancing at age two. She starting dancing competitively at age five in Washington state where Madi was born. After dancing competitively for five years Madi was signed by a dance and acting agent that required her to move to Los Angeles, California. There she worked as a professional dancer and actress while training at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy seven days a week. During this time Madi danced at the Happy Feet Two movie premiere, acted in a Taylor Swift music video, was in two Just Dance video games, and was a part of the LA SparKids that danced for the WNBA Sparks team. In 2010, Madi was asked to be a part of Debbie Allen’s musical Twist. This musical took place in Atlanta, GA, where Madi had to temporarily live for three months to be a part of the cast. There she worked with many talented actors, singers, and dancers, some of which have continued on to have careers on Broadway.
While working professionally she still continued to train by taking classes at the EDGE Performing Arts Center, Millennium Dance Complex, and of course her home studio at the time, Debbie Allen Dance Academy. Madi has taken classes from Nappy Tabs, Dave Scott, Chloe Arnold, Savion Glover, Jason Samuels Smith, and Debbie Allen. Madi is professionally trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, hip hop, Flamenco, African, and musical theatre. After living in Los Angeles for four years, due to a job relocation, Madi and her family moved to Easton, Pennsylvania.
Madi moved to Easton the summer before her freshman year of high school. She loved her time and amazing experiences she had in LA, but she was really excited to be able to have a normal life again and attend high school. The first thing Madi wanted to do when she moved to Easton was find a dance studio, and that studio was Dance Design. Dance Design felt like home from the beginning and is where Madi spent her next four years dancing competitively. She attended many competitions and conventions winning numerous titles, scholarships, and awards. Madi graduated from Easton Area High School in 2017 but decided to stay close to home for college. Madi currently attends Moravian College and will be pursuing nursing at St. Luke’s School of Nursing. One of the reasons Madi wanted to stay close to home was so she could still be a part of the Dance Design family. Madi is excited to continue to teach and inspire the next generation of dancers while also doing what she loves!
